Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Description:

  • Troubleshooting of Full Stack network and customer faults.
  • Management of Software Defined Windows & Linux Server environments on Vmware ESXi, AWS. Managed by Puppet
  • Management of Vmware Environments including ESXi & VCenter.
  • Management of Internal IT Systems including Office 365.
  • 2nd & 3rd Line Support for End Customers, Resellers & Wholesale Partners.
  • Working with the maintenance teams, vendors and carriers to organise and request scheduled outages.
  • Ensuring that all activation and service restoration issues are escalated to the correct level with appropriate fix agencies where required.
  • Keeping all service tickets up to date.
  • Providing 24x7 on-call support.
  • Liaising with Vendors, Carriers and other departments to pro-vide co-ordination for all local gateway issues and activities.
  • Leading on Customer Projects to Design, Build, Deliver and Support innovative Full Stack technical solutions.

Knowledge & Skills Preferred:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the DevOps/Telco/Cloud
  • Computing industry is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and suppli-ers and diffuse potentially contentious conversations.
  • Competence in the Microsoft suite of Office products.
  • Strong Knowledge of NodeJS, Javascript, C#, Powershell
  • Experience in telephony applications (Asterisk & Kamailio) & SIP & RTP Protocols
  • Experience working with End Clients to develop technical solutions to challenges.
  • Understanding of IP networks, in particular, IPVPN,SD-WAN and MPLS.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to organise self and own workload.
  • Willingness to learn new things and be pushed outside your comfort zone.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree, or equivalent work experience.

Junior DevOps Engineer

Job Description:

  • Working with end customers to develop technical solutions to their challenges.
  • Working with in house development teams to add features and functionality to our growing product portfolio.
  • Development of new Apps and integrations with REST APIs
  • Provisioning of new customer installs and services.
  • Liaising with Vendors, Carriers and other departments to provide co-ordination for all local gateway issues and activities.
  • Provide out of hours support cover on a roster basis
  • 1nd & 2nd Line Support for End Customers, Resellers & Wholesale.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team.

Knowledge & Skills Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Javascript, C#, HTML/CSS
  • Advantageous to have, some understanding in VOIP telephony applications.
  • Customer facing experience.
  • Competence in the Microsoft suite of Office products.
  • Ability to organise self and own workload.
  • Willingness to learn new things and be pushed outside your comfort zone.
  • BPSS Security Screening will be carried out by Ciptex.

Qualifications:

  • A good level of education is required – qualifications in Computing a definite advantage.

Remuneration:

  • £12,000 Salary PA
